Kuala Lumpur, 2 January 2018 –Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”), through wholly-owned subsidiary DNeX Technology Sdn Bhd, has signed an exclusive brand license agreement with EC-Council International Ltd to offer cyber security services in Malaysia.

Under the agreement, DNeX will provide cyber security consultancy and advisory services based on the delivery model, methodology and brand of EC-Council Global Services.

At the signing of the agreement held in Kuala Lumpur recently, DNeX was represented by Mr Rodney Lee, Chief Executive Officer of DNeX Technology while EC-Council was represented by its Group President Mr Jay Bavisi. Also present at the signing were Datuk Samsul Husin, Executive Deputy Chairman of DNeX and President of EC-Council University and member of the EC-Council Board Ms Lata Bavisi.

Moreover, he added that DNeX will be able to have access to EC-Council’s methodologies and learn from cyber security implementation in key global economies.

Since the launch of its flagship programme – Certified Ethical Hacker – said to create the ethical hacking industry in 2002, EC-Council has been a leading information security certification body. EC-Council comprises advisory and technical teams with strong experience in information security consulting for the enterprise market.

EC-Council Global Services (“EGS”) is a division of EC-Council that offers comprehensive cyber security services, and is dedicated to help organisations understand and manage their cyber security risk posture effectively.

“EGS uses a four-phased cyber security methodology to assess, block, correct, and defend cyber security in a client environment. With this licensing deal, DNeX will offer the holistic approach to cyber security of EGS and develop a cyber security framework that helps in identification, protection, detection, response, and recovery to cyber threats to clients in Malaysia,” said Jay Bavisi.

He said EGS specialises in developing information security knowledge, methodologies, and policies pertaining to information security consulting and managed services. It offers a range of cyber security services including the comprehensive cyber security posture assessment, vendor risk management, penetration testing, forensics services, cloud security, mobile security, and risk assessment.
