History
He is an accomplished industry leader with a wealth of experience in managing businesses and operations in high-technology and capital-intensive upstream oil and gas industry, and power generation utilities. He has demonstrated significant leadership experience in upstream exploration and production, including offshore operations, and joint–venture management, with strong partner relation experience with global players in the oil and gas sector.
He also has in-depth knowledge of major hydrocarbon-producing areas in West Africa, North America and the Asia Pacific in addition to leadership experience overseeing power business in the Middle East, North Africa, Southeast Asia and Australia.
He was also former Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff Corporation Berhad, having successfully spearheaded the company’s transformation into a leading international Independent Water and Power Producer (“IWPP”) with core businesses in power generation, renewable energy, water desalination and operations & maintenance services.
Prior to Malakoff Corporation Berhad, he had a long career at ExxonMobil, spanning 28 years in various managerial and leadership roles at the multinational company’s business units and operations worldwide.
He also sits on the Board of Theta Edge Berhad.
He graduated from University of Queensland, Australia with a Bachelor’s Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering.
