Kuala Lumpur, 28 September 2016 – Global Halal Exchange (“GHX”), an eMarketplace for the Halal industry, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) with Fatiha Shuib & Friends, a social enterprise whose signature project One Moment For Them is aimed to raise awareness about humanity and focus on Syrian refugees in Jordan.
Under the agreement, Fatiha Shuib & Friends will market its programme namely One Moment For Them via GHX where users of the eMarketplace can purchase One Moment For Them merchandise items and products of GHX’s merchants that will furnish aid packages sent to Syrian refugee centres in Jordan.
At the signing held in Kuala Lumpur recently GHX was represented by its Marketing Director Dato’ Mohd Nasaruddin Ahmad and Fatiha Shuib & Friends was represented by Fatiha Shuib, project manager of One Moment For Them.
The signing was witnessed by Datuk Samsul Husin, Executive Deputy Chairman of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”) and Puan Azlina Anual, Legal Advisor to Fatiha Shuib & Friends. At the event, DNeX also presented a contribution of RM60,000 to Fatiha Shuib & Friends to support the organisation’s efforts for Syrian refugees.
The agreement also outlines a partnership between GHX and Fatiha Shuib & Friends to work together in other social, community and humanitarian programmes.
GHX, an offering by DNeX, provides access for merchants and business listings to the USD2.3-trillion Halal market globally. This eMarketplace, accessible at globalhalalexchange.com, is taking the Halal industry online where companies or individuals can get suppliers or buyers for their products and services as well as obtain and exchange information on the industry within clicks.

He added that the partnership is certainly in line with DNeX own corporate social responsibility (“CSR”) initiative focused on education and providing assistance to the underprivileged.
One Moment For Them project launched a charity concert in aid of Syrian refugees in Jordan last year, backed by local artists Faizal Tahir, Aizat Amdan, Noh Salleh, Mu’adz Dzulkefly and Mizz Nina. The second such concert was organised in Egypt earlier this year.
