Kuala Lumpur, 3 June 2016 – Global Halal Exchange, an eMarketplace for the Halal industry, signed a Merchants Agreement with RR Gallery to collaborate in offering artwork via the eMarketplace.
Under the agreement, Global Halal Exchange will provide an online platform for RR Gallery, which represents mainly local artists to market work of art online thus extending and complementing market reach of a traditional art gallery.
At the signing held in Kuala Lumpur today, Global Halal Exchange was represented by its Marketing Director Dato’ Mohd Nasaruddin Ahmad while RR Gallery was represented by its co-founder and main artist Ustaz Abdul Halim Mohamed @ Omar.
The signing was witnessed by Datuk Samsul Husin, Executive Deputy Chairman of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”) and Dato’ Roslan Ramli, Advisor of Global Halal Exchange.
At the event, RR Gallery also launched its Karya Sejuta Kalimah project, development of art work and calligraphy derived from Quranic verses and Zikir recitation and led by Ustaz Abdul Halim.
Ustaz Abdul Halim successfully undertook a similar project, which was completed last year and included in Malaysia’s Book of Records.
At the event, RR Gallery also launched its Kiswah artwork, currently vying for the largest such artwork in Malaysia’s Book of Records. The Kiswah artwork is now being showcased at DNeX’s premises for public viewing.
Global Halal Exchange, an offering by DNeX, provides access for merchants and business listings to the USD2.3-trillion Halal market globally. This eMarketplace, accessible at globalhalalexchange.com, is taking the Halal industry online where companies or individuals can get suppliers or buyers for their products and services as well as obtain and exchange information on the industry within clicks.
“We are excited about our collaboration with RR Gallery as together we can help open up market for local artwork and create more opportunities for local artists,” said Dato’ Mohd Nasaruddin.
He added that Global Halal Exchange’s working together with RR Gallery in its Karya Sejuta Kalimah project is part of the eMarketplace’s merchant development programme, initiated earlier this year, and aimed at providing relevant assistance and support for merchants of Global Halal Exchange to further grow their business.
