Kuala Lumpur, 17 March 2016 – Global Halal Exchange, an eMarketplace for the Halal industry, is putting in place a merchant development programme for small and medium enterprise (“SME”) companies on board its eMarketplace.

The merchant development programme is aimed at providing relevant assistance and support for anchor tenants of Global Halal Exchange to further grow their business. And today Global Halal Exchange is working with its anchor tenant Al Ansar Health Sdn Bhd, a leading provider of health and wellness products and services, at the launch of the latter’s new goat milk product.

The new product is easier to digest and absorbed by the human body as compared to cow milk, and can help boost the immune system, and serve as an energy booster. Packed with spirulina and pomegranate, the product is a good source of calcium and vitamins, and comes in powder form for convenient storage. The product is Halal-certified by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (“Jakim”).

At the launch of the new product, Al Ansar Health also signed a memorandum of understanding with KB Beyond Creative Sdn Bhd and Dewan Forum Ahli Ekonomi Semalaysia who will serve as partners to market the new product.

Al Ansar Health, currently an anchor merchant on Global Halal Exchange’s Wellness pillar, provides natural healthcare products and services for overall wellbeing. As an anchor tenant, Al Ansar Health has access to the eMarketplace platform for wellness information, content and online transaction for products and services.

Global Halal Exchange, an offering by Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”), provides access for merchants and business listings to the USD2.3-trillion Halal market globally.

“Our merchant development programme is a strategic partnership where we work with our anchor tenants who are predominantly SMEs to grow their business to the global market through the Global Halal Exchange eMarketplace, and by providing such assistance as marketing, business insights and ideas as well,” said Datuk Samsul Husin, Executive Deputy Chairman of DNeX.

This eMarketplace, accessible at globalhalalexchange.com, is taking the Halal industry online where companies or individuals can get suppliers or buyers for their products and services as well as obtain and exchange information on the industry within clicks. Global Halal Exchange comprises two main components namely a Business-to-Consumer (“B2C”) segment, and Business-to- Business (“B2B”) segment.
