Faizal Sham Abu Mansor

Faizal Sham Abu Mansor is Group Chief Executive Officer of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (”DNeX”) with effect from 1 November 2024.

Faizal is a distinguished corporate professional and has an extensive career in leading and being part of senior leadership team of major corporations. He most notably served as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) at Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad from 2006 to 2015 where he was recognised on numerous occasions as Best CFO in the country by both local and international institutions. Awards received by him include Best CFO for Investor Relations 2012 by the Malaysian Investor Relations Association, Best CFO in Malaysia 2013 by FinanceAsia Magazine and CFO of the Year 2014 from the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

His corporate experience also includes serving as Chief Executive Officer of Astro Productions and Astro Awani, a world-class media production services and news organisation under Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad from 2015 to 2018 where he was able to turn the entities into profitability during his stint there. From 2021 to 2024, he served as Executive Director and Group Chief Financial Officer at Vantage Energy Group, a private entrepreneurial O&G company where he provided strategic leadership in financial management, mergers and acquisitions, and capital restructuring whilst managing the company’s relations with its investors and stakeholders. He also spent six years in the financial industry most notably with Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi and the Corporate Finance and Investment banking division of AmMerchant Bank Berhad (now known as AmInvestment Bank Berhad).

He is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of Audit Committee of YTL Power International Berhad and Solution Group Berhad. In 2019, he was appointed an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of Audit Committee of Affin Hwang Asset Management Berhad which had RM80 billion in assets under management until it was acquired by CVC Capital Partners in 2022. He is also Director of Airdroitech, a private company providing software and hardware engineering support to Polyaire, a family-owned company that is one of Australia’s leading businesses in the air-conditioning industry. He also contributes as a partner in MGI MR, a boutique advisory firm with a global presence.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rutgers University and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Ohio University. Fellow with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He also has Graduate Diploma in Aviation from the International Air Transport Association.

Group Chief Financial Officer

Vinie Chong Pui Ling

Vinie Chong Pui Ling is the Group Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) ofDagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”) with effect from 1 January 2025.

She has over 20 years of extensive financial management, commercial and strategic planning experience in setting goals, focus and competitive business strategies with foresight on business trends and their impact on the bottom line.

She began her career in asset management and financial advisory services before transitioning into various leadership roles in notable organisations.

Prior to joining DNeX, she was the Chief Financial Officer of Cypark Resources Berhad, a pioneering developer of integrated renewable energy solutions in Malaysia. She also served as the Group Chief Financial Officer of Cenergi SEA Berhad, a renewable energy company under Khazanah Group driving at the forefront of sustainability and the green energy agenda.

Vinie also held several senior strategic and financial executive positions, including CFO & Vice President, Strategy & Commercial at Astro Productions and General Manager at Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad.

Her extensive experience in local and cross-border corporate investment and fundraising exercises has earned her recognition from numerous prestigious awards including the esteemed Euromoney, Triple A Asset, International Financing Review, RAM Rating and Alpha Southeast Asia for best transactions, pioneer awards and innovation in finance.

She was also twice voted as the best investor relations professional in Asia in the globally renowned Institutional Investor’s survey for the All Asia Executive Team, for transportation and industrial sectors in 2013 and 2015 respectively.

She is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of Johor Plantations Group Berhad. She previously served as a board member of Damansara Holdings Berhad and also a few of Malaysia Airports’ investee companies. Chief Corporate Officer

Azhar Othman

Azhar bin Othman is Group Chief Corporate Officer of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”) with effect from 1 December 2024. He was previously the Group Chief Operating Officer and Group Chief Financial Officer at DNeX.

He oversees the Group’s Risk and Business Process Management, Performance Management, Procurement, and Sustainability. His responsibilities include identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks as well as optimising business processes; establishing performance management frameworks to enhance overall efficiency; leading procurement strategies thus ensuring cost-effective sourcing and supplier relationships while advancing sustainability initiatives to promote environmental, social and governance responsibility.

His experience spans more than 30 years in leadership, planning, managing, and controlling the entire spectrum of operational finance and accounting functions of an organisation towards meeting its business objectives and profitability. An action-oriented and dynamic leader, he has immense global experience in the field of finance and operation across various industries such as semiconductor, oil & gas, automotive, property, real estate and infrastructure, hotel and resort as well as education.

Prior to joining DNeX, he helmed CFO role in large government-linked companies such as Proton Holdings Berhad (Automotive), UEM Sunrise Berhad (Property) and Johor Corporation Berhad (Real Estate and Infrastructure).

He also has experience working in the semiconductor industry, having worked abroad for eight years in the United States in ON Semiconductor, and also Motorola Semiconductor (M) Sdn Bhd, where he held various roles in finance which include corporate office, business division, IT, global manufacturing and joint ventures across all regions.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Arizona State University, United States of America and Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance and Corporate Investment), University of North Texas, United States of America. He is also a member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountant and Malaysia Institute of Accountants.

Group Head IT

Jasbendarjit Kaur Mejor Singh

Jasbendarjit Kaur is Group Head IT of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”) with effect from 1 December 2024.

In this pivotal role, she is responsible for leading the Group’s technology strategy, overseeing IT services and operations, and spearheading transformative initiatives to advance DNeX’s digital capabilities, enhance customer experiences, and optimise operational efficiencies.

With a deep technical expertise, she has a proven track record in designing, deploying, and managing complex hardware and software infrastructures. She leads DNeX’s IT infrastructure management across multiple production, disaster recovery, and development sites, utilising a diverse array of operating systems and applications to ensure business continuity and innovation.

Her leadership extends to architecting and aligning enterprise-wide technology frameworks with business objectives, enabling the strategic planning and successful execution of technology initiatives that drive organisational growth. By creating structured roadmaps and ensuring the integration of cutting-edge technologies, she has played a critical role in positioning DNeX as an industry leader in advanced, AI-powered solutions.

She is at the forefront of DNeX’s integration of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (“AI”), cloud computing, Internet of Things (“IoT”), big data analytics, blockchain, and cybersecurity.

Under her leadership, these innovations are positioned to transform DNeX’s operations, fostering greater competitiveness, driving operational efficiency, and further solidifying the company’s leadership position in both the private and public sectors while contributing to Malaysia’s growing digital economy.

Her strategic direction has also been integral to securing significant government contracts and high-profile multinational projects, supporting the company’s expansion. Notably, she has led efforts to develop a regional trade platform aimed at enhancing cross-border commerce within the ASEAN region, while modernising mission-critical systems to improve both operational workflows and the overall customer experience.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science from Staffordshire University, United Kingdom, and an Executive Master’s in Management from Asia e-University.

Group Head Strategy

Muhammad Saifullah Mohd Isa

Muhammad Saifullah bin Mohd Isa is Group Head Strategy of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”) with effect from 1 December 2024.

In this role, he is responsible for driving growth across the Group by establishing strategic partnerships and ventures, setting overall corporate strategy, administering the Group’s international expansion and overseeing the Group’s technology focused investments through DNeX’s Innovation Fund.

He has over 14 years of experience in the financial services sector, specialising in capital markets and investment banking, and his last position prior to joining DNeX on October 2020, was with Corporate Finance Department of MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Berhad. He also served in the Corporate Finance Division of AmInvestment Bank Berhad and Corporate Banking Department of Malayan Banking Berhad.

In addition, he has experience in the fast-moving consumer goods and logistics industry, through his stint with Khazanah Nasional Berhad’s wholly owned investee company, Malaysian Agrifood Corporation Berhad, where he served in the Business Development division. He was also Securities Commissions’ Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence holder during his stint in Investment Banking.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting and Management from University of Nottingham.

Group Head of Legal/General Counsel & Secretarial

Mahendran Gnasamoothy

Mahendran Gnasamoothy is Group Head of Legal/General Counsel & Secretarial at Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”) since 1 August 2024.

In his current role, he leads the Legal/General Counsel Department ofDNeX Group, ensuring the consistent application of operational risk governance, policies, and reporting across all departments. He also provides valuable in-house legal and secretarial support services to DNeX Group, effectively resolving legal issues and safeguarding the Group’s rights and interests. He is also responsible for the efficient management of staff and resources in the Legal and Secretarial departments while enhancing and strengthening the Group’s internal processes and procedures through digitalisation, promoting compliance and good corporate governance.

Before joining DNeX, he was Head, Legal & Compliance in Citaglobal Berhad, an investment holding Company since Nov 2020. He brings with him more than 10 years of extensive and diversified experience in oil and gas/engineering, construction, education/intellectual property and fund management industry, and exposure in legal firm as a lawyer and partner for more than 12 years.

He has established a successful legal career and worked with leading law firms and corporate entities, litigating and advising on a wide range of corporate matters, including merger & acquisitions (“M&A”), corporate restructuring, compliance and governance issues.

He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (“ICSA”), United Kingdom. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Malaya. In 2002, he was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor at the High Court of Malaya. He also earned his Certificate of Legal Practice (“CLP”) from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) with (Hons.) from the University of London, United Kingdom.

Group Head
Human Resource

Zety Zalina Mohd Zain

Zety Zalina was appointed as a Group Head, Human Resource of Dagang NeXchange Berhad on 1 February 2025.

Zety Zalina Mohd Zain leads and manages the Group’s overall human resource and administrative functions. Her role is pivotal in aligning human resource strategies with business objectives, covering talent management, organisational development, employee engagement, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, and general administration.

She has over 20 years of experience in human resource management across industries including information technology, consulting, telecommunications, financial services, and food & beverage. Her key expertise includes talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, industrial relations, human resource operations, organisational development, and strategic workforce planning.

Previously, she served as Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition & Integration / Head of Recruitment at DNeX, where she led full-cycle recruitment, workforce planning, and employer branding for the Group. She played a vital role in human resource digitalisation and leadership development initiatives. Prior to this, she held key HR roles at Dagang Net Technologies, Kelly Services, RICOH, Temenos, and PKTech, contributing to both operational excellence and strategic HR transformation.

Zety Zalina holds a Bachelor of Education (Honors), TESL from University of Malaya. She is also a Certified Mental Health First Aider – Mental Health Association.

Chief Executive Officer
SilTerra Malaysia

Dr. Albert Pang Shu Koon

Dr Albert Pang Shu Koon is Chief Executive Officer of SilTerra MalaysiaSdn Bhd (“SilTerra”), with effect from 19 May 2022.

With more than 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, he was helming various senior positions including Senior Director, Logic Technology Development Head of Shanghai Huali Microelectronics Corporation (“HLMC”), Vice President, Operations & Technology Development for Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (“GSMC”), Deputy Director of Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing in Singapore, and Deputy Director of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation in Shanghai, China.

He lent his expertise to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (“TSMC”) as Manager, and Technical Manager (Process Integration, Technology Development) at Worldwide Semiconductor Manufacturing Co, in Hsinchu, Taiwan.

He also served as Department Manager of Process Integration at Mimos Berhad.

Ping Petroleum Limited

Tarmizi Yusof Azuddin

Tarmizi bin Yusof Azuddin is Chief Executive Officer of Ping Petroleum Limited effective 1 October 2024. He is also the Interim CEO of OGPC Sdn Bhd with effect from 14 January 2025.

With over two decades of leadership experience in the oil and gas sector across Malaysia and Southeast Asia, he has held key positions in major, independent, and national oil companies, including ExxonMobil, Murphy Oil, and PTTEP.

He has proven track record in both technical and leadership roles, covering field development, project execution, operations, and planning. He had successfully delivered multiple greenfield and brownfield developments, encompassing shallow and deepwater projects with a total capital expenditure exceeding US$2 billion.

His notable career achievements include his tenure as Head of Engineering, Construction, and Development Projects for Murphy and PTTEP Sarawak Oil Co Ltd. During this period, he delivered key projects such as the deepwater Block H Gas Development for PETRONAS Floating LNG 2, Kikeh Phase 3, Siakap North Petai Phase 2, and several shallow water oil and gas developments offshore Sarawak.

Prior to that, he served as Gas Production Planner for ExxonMobil E&P Malaysia, a major supplier to PGU and Peninsular Malaysia.

He graduated from Vanderbilt University, the United States of America with Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics) (Magna Cum Laude).

DNeX Solutions Sdn Bhd

Wan Ahmad Syatibi Wan Abd Manan

Wan Ahmad Syatibi bin Wan Abd Manan is Chief Executive Officer(“CEO”) of DNeX Solutions Sdn Bhd with effect from 1 December 2024 and Interim Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) of Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd (DNeX) with effect from 1 January 2025.

He oversees the IT operations within the Group, managing key business areas such as Trade Facilitation, ERP solutions, and strategic initiatives including partnership with Google, Infrastructure Business, and International Business. Additionally, he plays a pivotal role in driving the development of new services and offerings under the National Single Window (“NSW”) for Trade Facilitation initiative in enhancing the efficiency and connectivity of trading communities both within and beyond borders.

He was previously CEO of Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd since 1 January 2016. He has led assignments in trade strategies and improvement, information systems planning and large-scale project management.

Part of his impressive credentials include being involved in the Asean Single Window for Trade Facilitation, a unique regional initiative that connects and integrates National Single Windows of Asean member states to expedite cargo clearance within the context of increased economic integration in the Asean region.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Coventry University, United Kingdom.

Innovation Associates Consulting Sdn Bhd

Mazlan Tuhiman

Mazlan bin Tuhiman is Chief Executive Officer of Innovation Associates Consulting Sdn Bhd (“IAC”), effective 1 January 2024.

He has over 25 years of working experience in various global and multinational industries, including accounting and finance, chemical, fast-moving consumer goods, education, oil and gas, and information and technology (“IT”), as well as in the public sector.

Prior to that, he was IAC’s Acting CEO, and Delivery Director. As Delivery Director, he was accountable for the overall delivery operations of the Practice Areas and Capability Centre, setting up and executing top-class delivery to clients and projects.

He has previously held several senior leadership roles in established corporations, including as Project Director in the Integrated Government Financial and Management System (“iGFMAS”)’s Transformation Project, Senior Manager in Delaware Consulting Malaysia Sdn Bhd, responsible to set up and lead the Offshore Global Delivery Centre (Malaysia, The Philippines, China-Harbin and Brazil), Head of Business Applications Centre in Fraser and Neave Holdings Bhd (“F&N”) and was a Project Manager for PMI roll out projects in BASF IT Asia Pacific in India, Vietnam, Singapore and Thailand.

With over 13 years of working experience at PETRONAS in its various subsidiaries within the Finance Department, he was also appointed as a member of the SAP Expert Users Referral Group for Petronas Groupwide and led the first SAP Implementation for Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.

Subsequently, he broadened his career by joining the contracting job as SAP FICO Consultant at SHELL IT in Cyberjaya, followed by ISS Consulting Sdn Bhd, BASF Asia-Pacific Service Centre and F&N Holdings Bhd as the Head of Business Applications Centre, Group IT.

He joined Delaware Consulting Malaysia Sdn Bhd as Senior Manager to lead the Offshore Global Delivery Center before re-joined IAC as Delivery Director in January 2022.

He graduated from MARA University of Technology (“UiTM”) with a Diploma in Business Studies and received a Certificate in Management from the National Examining Board of Supervision in the United Kingdom. He obtained a Certificate in Book-Keeping from Polytechnic of Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, Pahang, and a member of the Malaysian Association of Accounting Administrators. He also completed the Leadership & Management programmes by Invictus and Enterprise Architecture (“EA”) Learning Journey from ATD Solution, Malaysia.

Executive Vice President of Business Development

Paul Baltensperger

Paul Baltensperger serves as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) of Ping Petroleum UK Plc and Executive Vice President of Business Development of Ping Petroleum Limited.

With over 35 years of experience in various leadership roles, he has demonstrated expertise in managing independent oil and gas exploration and production (“E&P”) operations across Malaysia, the Gulf of Mexico, North Africa, and South America.

He has a distinguished track record of creating value through mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”) and asset operations in the oil and gas industry globally. As a co-founder and former Chief Operating Officer of Ping Petroleum Limited, he successfully managed the company’s business activities in Malaysia and the offshore United Kingdom.

His career includes significant roles such as Asset and New Ventures Manager for Newfield Exploration and Apache Corporation in Malaysia and Egypt. He has held the positions of Exploration Manager in Egypt and Algeria for Apache and Oryx Energy, respectively.

He holds Master of Science in Geology from University of Texas, United States of America and Bachelor of Science in Geophysics/Geology from New Mexico State University.

Head, Group Corporate Communications

Sharifah Kasim

Sharifah is responsible for the Group’s strategic internal and external communications in corporate development, crisis communications, merger & acquisition exercises, as well as achievement of corporate milestones to enhance the Group’s image and foster confidence among stakeholders.

She is experienced in strategic communications with a demonstrated history of serving the spectrum of corporate communications including media relations, crisis communications, branding and internal communications backed by a strong foundation in journalism.

She also held various positions in the Group including spearheading the overall development and management of Sustainability initiatives including the Group’s Sustainability Framework and related processes including reporting and communications, former Head of Media and Investor Relations at DNeX and Head of Strategic Communications at Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd.

She has more than 10 years of experience in the media industry with her last appointment as Assistant News Editor at the New Straits Times, Malaysia’s leading English daily before transitioning to corporate communications.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Minor in Political Science, University of California-Davis, United States of America. She has a Certificate in Investor Relations from Investor Relations Society, United Kingdom.

Head, Group Internal Audit

Izham Syah Mahrome

Izham oversees the Internal Audit functions across the DNeX Group, and established the inhouse Group Internal Audit (“GIA”) to ensure that the GIA supports the Group’s Audit Committee in discharging its responsibilities, as well as managing its respective governance, risk and control functions.

Izham has experience in corporate banking and audit, spanning over 20 years across sectors namely automotive, oil & gas, shipping, aviation, utilities, plantation, construction, property development, metal & steel, jewellery, and hospitality.

His key expertise includes audit planning and audit strategy (financial and operational audit), credit assessment, corporate banking, and consulting work.

He previously helmed various leadership positions in prominent financial institutions including as Head of Audit Branch Office and Information Technology at Lembaga Tabung Haji, Head of Audit (Head Office Operations) at SME Bank and Vice President of Business Banking at Affin Islamic Bank Berhad. He had also previously worked with Export-Import Bank (M) Berhad, RHB Bank Berhad and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Izham holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance), Universiti Putra Malaysia and Bachelor of Commerce and Management, Lincoln University, New Zealand. He is also a Chartered Accountant, Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”), Fellow Member of Association Certified Chartered of Accountant (“ACCA”), Chartered Member of the Institute of Internal Auditor Malaysia (“CMIIA”), Chartered Banker and Member of Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (“AICB”).

Head, Group Sustainability

Mathias Varming

Mathias Varming was appointed as Head, Group Sustainability of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”) with effect from 1 December 2024. Alongside his role in DNeX, he is also Head – Environmental, Social and Governance of DNeX subsidiary, Ping Petroleum Limited.

Mathias brings more than 15 years of extensive experience implementing corporate sustainability strategies across a broad spectrum of industries including conventional and renewable energy, plantation, property, utilities and hospitality. Previously, he also co-founded two start-ups working on linking energy and climate change strategies to private and public sector performance: Evenergy – a blockchain-based trading platform for renewable energy certificates, and Plan8 – a collective of Climate Change professionals working on climate change mitigation, adaptation and resilience building across USA, Germany, UK, Nepal, and Malaysia.

In addition to his corporate roles, he has served as a consultant within the public sphere, working at the intersection of Climate Change policy and practice including a Climate Change risk assessment scoping study for Local Authorities across the Greater Kuala Lumpur, and the Malaysian National Climate Change Mitigation Action Plan under Malaysian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

He has also contributed to multiple research projects on Malaysian and Global climate policy, including publications by United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (“UN FAO”) and The Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (“IDEAS”).

He holds a Master in Business Administration from Asia School of Business, Malaysia in collaboration with MIT Sloan and Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Environmental and Socio-Economic Planning from Roskilde University, Denmark.
