Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir is Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”) with effect from 1 January 2025.
Prior to this, he was Executive Chairman of the company since 9 December 2022, Group Managing Director of the company since 1 October 2020, and earlier was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of the company on 1 July 2020.
He previously held the position of Vice President, Downstream Marketing, Petroliam Nasional Berhad (“PETRONAS”) and also served as Managing Director of PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad. He began his career as a Project Engineer with PETRONAS Gas Sdn Bhd in 1987, before joining PETRONAS in 1992 as Senior Executive of the company’s Corporate Planning & International Business Development unit.
He then left to join HICOM Holdings Berhad in 1995, where he assumed various senior positions in the company. In 1999, he lent his expertise to PERODUA when appointed Senior General Manager. Subsequently, he was appointed Executive Director of PERODUA Auto Corporation Sdn Bhd in 2002 and later promoted to Deputy Managing Director of PERODUA in October 2005.
Thereafter, he also held various key positions in established corporations including Proton Holdings Berhad as Group Managing Director, RHB Bank Berhad and RHB Islamic Bank Berhad as Independent Non-Executive Director. In July 2018, he was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Universiti Teknologi MARA until January 2021.
He is currently the Chairman of PAA Digital Trade Alliance, the first global alliance that aims to promote and provide secure and value-adding IT infrastructure and facilities for efficient global trade and logistics. Additionally, he also serves as Director at Cahya Mata Oiltools Sdn Bhd and Cahya Mata Cement Sdn Bhd. Previously, he was a Chairman of Scanwolf Corporation Berhad until 31 December 2023.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Maryland, United States of America.

Datuk Johar Che Mat was redesignated as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of Dagang NeXchange Berhad on 24 February 2022. Prior to this, he was Independent Non-Executive Director of the company since 28 February 2018. He is also the Chairman of the Nomination and Renumeration Committee effective 15 January 2022.
Datuk Johar bin Che Mat has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. He began his career in 1976 when he joined Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank).
Throughout his time at Maybank, he held several key positions, including Regional Manager for Selangor/Negeri Sembilan from 1993 to 1995, General Manager of the Commercial Banking Division from 1996 to 2000, Senior General Manager of the Corporate Banking and Enterprise Banking Division from 2000 to 2002; and Senior Executive Vice President of Retail Financial Services from 2002 to 2006.
Following these roles, Datuk Johar bin Che Mat was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Maybank Group, a position he held until his retirement in 2010. In addition to his banking career, he previously served as Chairman of MNRB Holdings Berhad, an investment holding company and Malaysian Reinsurance Berhad, which operates in the reinsurance business.
He was a Board Member of various organisations, including MBSB Bank Berhad, Bank Pertanian Malaysia Berhad, Amanah Raya Group, Proton Holdings Berhad, and several other public companies.
Currently, he serves as the Chairman of Takaful Ikhlas General Berhad and Takaful Ikhlas Family Berhad, where he oversees the Takaful business.
He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree of Economics from University Malaya, Malaysia.

Dato’ Robert Fisher was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”) on 22 June 2021. He is also Chairman of Ping Petroleum Limited, a subsidiary of the Company.
Dato’ Robert Fisher possesses over 45 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Throughout his diverse career, he has held prominent senior leadership positions, successfully leading large, multi-functional organisations across various locations, cultures and operating environments. He has a proven track record in international commercial negotiations and is a strong advocate for achieving results through the systematic development of human capital.
He joined Esso UK, a subsidiary of the then Exxon Corporation, in 1976. Initially, he worked in the downstream sector in Esso UK and Esso Europe until 1989 in technical, operational and supply planning roles. He then spent the next 20 years working internationally for Exxon and later ExxonMobil Corporation in the upstream sector, including three assignments in Malaysia, four in the USA, and one in Saudi Arabia.
He was Chairman and Managing Director of the ExxonMobil Subsidiaries in Malaysia from 2003 until 2006, where he oversaw all aspects of ExxonMobil’s business, including managing relationships with the Government of Malaysia, joint venturers, Bursa Malaysia and stakeholders. His significant accomplishments include, on behalf of the ExxonMobil/PETRONAS Carigali joint venture, successfully developing the unprecedented Gas Production Sharing Contract, executed with PETRONAS in 1998, which anchors reliable natural gas supply for the nation until today.
He then became the Executive Assistant to the Chairman of Exxon Corporation. He later served as Vice President of New Business Development at ExxonMobil Gas Marketing Company, where he led negotiations that culminated in ExxonMobil securing operatorship positions in Core Ventures 1 and 2 in Saudi Arabia’s Natural Gas Initiative.
Subsequently, he became Executive Vice President of Upstream in Core Venture 1, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
From 2006 to 2008, in his role as Vice President of ExxonMobil Development Company, responsible for the development of its global non-operated capital project portfolio, he led ExxonMobil’s participation in the settlement of the dispute between the Kashagan project partners and the Government of Kazakhstan. Simultaneously, he reignited and led the development of the successful Hebron project in Canada, which had remained undeveloped for many years, including ExxonMobil taking over operatorship.
Since then, he has served as a Senior Advisor to Bain and Company, a management consultancy based in Boston, USA. With extensive experience, he has advised various international projects in Malaysia, Russia, Australia, Thailand, the USA, Canada, South Africa and Saudi Arabia.
He is currently the Chairman of Ping Petroleum Limited, a subsidiary of the Company.
He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree (hons) in Chemical Engineering from Birmingham University, United Kingdom.

Dr. Chen Wei-Ming Chen was appointed as Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”) on 22 June 2021.
Chen, Wei-Ming is President of Hon Hai’s Semiconductor Business Group. He began his career at Motorola’s Advanced Product Research Laboratory in Austin, Texas 1994, where he focused on power PC and embedded memory research and development (R&D). In 1998, he joined TSMC as an R&D Manager and was later promoted to Deputy Director, responsible for integrating various technology nodes and flavors for over ten years. He subsequently transitioned to an international accounting firm’s management corporate advisory division, where he was involved with several corporate restructuring exercises.
In 2008, he joined TSMC’s package subsidiary Xintec Inc. as R&D Vice President, research in wafer-level packages and pioneering TSV and 3DIC packages. From 2009 to 2011, he started his company, MOS Art Packaging, to continue developing wafer-level package products. He joined Neo Solar Power (NSP) in 2011 as R&D VicePresident and was promoted to President of the Cell Business Unit. Through his leadership, NSP maintained the highest efficiency of p-type solar cell and module mass production and built three solar cell fabs in 3 different countries outside Taiwan.
He also realised Taiwan’s first n-type heterojunction solar cell (HJT) mass production. He joined Hon Hai Technology Group as Vice President and special assistant to founder Terry Guo in 2017. In 2019, he became part of the Hon Hai Semiconductor Group. Since then, he has served on the board of Hon Hai Group’s subsidiaries, which include Sharp, Foxsemicon, Shun Sin Technology, and Socle Technology. He has established several semiconductor start-ups within Hon Hai Technology Group, covering areas from packaging to integrated circuit design. He holds approximately 30 patents and 40 publications.
He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering specialised in microelectronics from University of Texas at Austin in 1990, and 1994 respectively. He has an EMBA degree from National Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan, and a B.S. degree in Materials Science from National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan.

Chandramohan Subramaniam was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Dagang NeXchange Berhad on 1 March 2022.
Chandramohan Subramaniam is a seasoned executive with over 40 years of experience in the medical device and semiconductor industries. He is recognised for his expertise and direct leadership in research and development (R&D), technology, operations and quality functions.
Before this role, he was Group Vice President of R&D at Medtronic, Minneapolis, where he spearheaded the Restorative Therapy Group R&D transformation, improved R&D productivity by 20% and facilitated several key product launches, amongst others achievements.
He is well versed and experience in the field of manufacturing start-ups, specifically large, complex organisations in diverse cultural settings, including Malaysia, Mexico, Japan, the Philippines and the United States of America.
He began his career at Hitachi Semiconductor Group Malaysia as a Quality Control Engineer for three years before moving to Motorola (now known as ON Semiconductor) where he spent 20 years in several leadership roles, including Director of Manufacturing (Asia). With his demonstrated leadership and expertise in delivering the business’ technical and executive strategies, he took on leadership roles in R&D and Operations at Medtronic, where he served from 2007 to 2020.
He also sits on the Board of IceMos Technology Corporation.
Chandra holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Manchester University, England. He is also a certified Quality Engineer (“ASQC”) and a Certified Reliability Engineer (“ASQC”).

Zalina Shaher was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”) on 18 March 2022. She is also Chairman of Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of DNeX.
Zalina binti Shaher is a trained electrical engineer. She is an experienced leader with an extensive supply chain track record in the semiconductor industry. With 33 years of hands-on Industry experience, she has held numerous roles leading operations of sizable semiconductor facilities within and outside Malaysia. She is particularly well-versed in process and equipment engineering as well as test and product engineering, which provide deep insights that enable her achievements in operational realignments, cost productivity and controls across manufacturing processes.
She completed her advisor and Vice President of operations contract with sensiBel AS in December 2024. In this role, she was responsible for the manufacturing setup of the micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) microphones, focusing on assembly and test partners, cost, and operations infrastructure setup.
Before her tenure at sensiBel AS, she provided advisory services on several key assignments, including the setup assemblypartner for Novelda AS, a Norwegian semiconductor design company. Additionally, she conducted technical due diligence for SilTerra Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the Company.
She began her career at Motorola Semiconductor Sdn Bhd as a Process Engineer in 1984 and served the company for 15 years, eventually leaving as Operations Manager. She then joined Motorola Malaysia Sdn Bhd as Senior Director, leading the entire RF Operations and overseeing 1,300 employees. In this role, she was responsible for the full scale of its manufacturing process and collaborated on cost monitoring with business units in Phoenix, USA.
Zalina subsequently served at ON Semiconductor, Silicon Laboratories, Honeywell Aerospace Avionics Malaysia Sdn Bhd, and Energy Micro AS, focusing on aligning resources, facilities and productivity to achieve operational excellence.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, United States of America. She is also a Certified SIRIM ISO9002 Assessor.

Mohd Isa Ismail is Executive Director of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”), with effect from 18 March 2024.
Mohd Isa bin Ismail has over 30 years of experience in senior leadership roles, investments, and board positions across various sectors and countries.
He is currently a controlling shareholder and director at AnNedjma Capital Sdn Bhd (AnNedjma Capital) and Arcadia Acres Sdn Bhd, a major shareholder of the Company.
Additionally, through AnNedjma Capital and his capacity, he invests in various sectors, including oil and gas, modern agriculture and market research.
He began his career in the semiconductor industry as a financial and cost analyst with Motorola Semiconductor Sdn Bhd for eight years. He transitioned to the financial sector as a dealer representative and capital market advisor. In this role, he provided advisory and consultancy services for corporate exercises, including fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, and investments across various industries and countries.
His extensive expertise and broad knowledge in managing domestic and foreign capital markets, particularly in the semiconductor and agriculture sectors, have led him to hold various shareholdings and serve on the boards of private and publicly listed companies.
He has previously served on the boards of Greatwall Plastic Industry Bhd, Willowglen MSC Bhd and Len Cheong Holdings Berhad (now known as Mpire Global Berhad).
He graduated from MARA Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Accountancy.

Haslinda Hussein is Independent Non-Executive Director of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”) with effect from 1 July 2024.
Haslinda bt Hussein has 25 years of experience in finance, ranging from accounting, taxation, budget planning, financial modelling, corporate exercise management, and investment and fund management. She began her career in January 2000 as an auditor at Arthur Andersen and subsequently joined Ernst & Young Malaysia in June 2002.
She worked at PETRONAS from 2003 till July 2016, with her last position being Head of Portfolio Management for the PETRONAS Group. Throughout her 13-year tenure at PETRONAS, she held several senior positions, including Senior Manager of Group Planning & Performance and Senior Manager in the Executive Vice President & Group CFO Office, where she actively participated in various corporate exercises.
Her experience at PETRONAS includes tax, budgeting, financial modelling, financial accounting, financial reporting and management.
She previously served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Privasia Technology Berhad (Privasia), a company listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia.
During her tenure, she served as the Chairman of the Investment Committee and was also a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee of Privasia.
Additionally, she served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Steel Hawk Berhad, an oil and gas services and equipment (OGSE) company listed on the ACE market of Bursa Malaysia. In this role, she chaired the Nomination Committee and was a member of the Audit Committee and the Remuneration Committee.
She manages a family investment holding company that holds public equity, bonds, and investment properties. She is responsible for strategising and implementing investment decisions while maintaining minimal involvement in the company’s day-to-day operations. She also operates a private art gallery in Malaysia.
She has Professional Qualification in Accounting from Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”) and Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand (“CAANZ”). She holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting from Adelaide University, Australia.
