Kuala Lumpur, 15 May 2019 – Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”), through wholly-owned subsidiary OGPC Sdn Bhd, has been awarded a contract by Johor Port Berhad to supply four units of marine loading arms.

Under the contract, which is valued at RM7.5 million, DNEX will design, supply, deliver, test and commission these marine loading arms to the port.

Works on the project are scheduled to be completed within the next ten months. A marine loading arm is a mechanical arm consisting of steel pipes that can connect a tank ship such as an oil tanker or chemical tanker to a cargo terminal.

“We are grateful to be given the opportunity to undertake the implementation of this project, which is part of our services to supply equipment and maintenance to facilitate movement and storage of oil and gas products,” said Datuk Samsul Husin, Executive Deputy Chairman of DNeX.

“Johor Port has been our long term customer, and we are indeed happy to continue to work together with the port. For us managing relationship with existing customers is as important as getting new ones, and we do this by actively listening to and understanding their requirements and then proposing comprehensive solutions for them to meet their needs,” he said.

He added that the project augurs well with efforts to boost book order, and further expand on business growth of OGPC, which is a supplier, service provider and contractor for oil and gas, petrochemical, power, palm oil and general industries.

The company is also a distributor of technical and engineering products from reputable global manufacturers for these industries.
