Commitment Statement

The Group will therefore not tolerate any form of forced labour (including child labour) and DNeX and its subsidiary companies takes an active stand against child labour and forced labour. The DNeX and its subsidiary companies unconditionally prohibits and condemns both child labour and forced labour and at the same time contains procedural rules for addressing instances of child or forced labour

Scope

This Policy is intended for Dagang NeXchange Berhad and its subsidiary companies (“the Group”). It is applicable to all the Group’s employees including directors. All employees (whether temporary, contract basis or permanent) must comply with the Policy, the Group’s other P&P and all applicable laws in the course of employment. The Policy also applies to the Group’s business associates, which includes but not limited to, vendors, contractors, sub-contractors, consultants, trainers, agents, representatives, tenants and other intermediaries who are performing work or services, for and on behalf of the Group. It is the responsibility of all employees, regardless of their position or role, to communicate the Policy to their business associates. The Policy applies to all parties that are currently engaged with the Group or have intentions to engage with the Group in the future.

Policy

The policy includes the following key points:

    • No employment under 18 is allowed.
    • Forced labour, slavery and human trafficking are strictly prohibited.
    • No deposits or recruitment fees are to be paid by employees.
    • Employees have freedom of movement and free to resign with reasonable notice.
    • No corporal punishment or inhumane treatment including but not limited to any form of physical violence, inflicting any harm to the person be it mentally or emotionally and threats.
    • Onsite vendors must comply and are subject to review and action if non-compliant.

Remediation Measures

If forced labour (including child labour) or related violations occur:

    • Immediate cessation of employment for individuals below the age of 18 with compensation and support.
    • Legal protections and repatriation costs borne by the Group if trafficking/forced labour is discovered.
    • Termination and legal action against non-compliant third parties.
    • Ongoing welfare support for victims until safe repatriation or resolution.
    • Vendors failing to comply may face termination of business relationship.

Review of Policy

This policy may be reviewed and amended from time to time, as and when necessary.
